Long-Term Care
Runnymede Long-Term Care
Construction of Runnymede’s long-term care (LTC) home is progressing steadily, with an expected completion date in early 2025. The 200-bed LTC home, located next to the existing rehabilitation hospital, will enhance the support available to seniors in the community through a range of specialized services.
For nearly 80 years, Runnymede Healthcare Centre has proudly served the Parkdale–High Park area and remains deeply connected to Toronto’s Little Malta neighbourhood. To honour this community, a portion of the new LTC home’s beds will be designated for Maltese residents. This initiative will ensure that Maltese seniors receive the care they need while remaining close to their families, homes, and cultural heritage.
LTC Home Management
Once completed, Runnymede Long-Term Care will be managed by Universal Care, a trusted provider of long-term care services.
Access to LTC in Ontario, including Runnymede LTC, is managed through Ontario Health atHome.
