On Wednesday, October 9th, 2024 the Ontario Professional Fire Fighters Association (OPFFA) will host a fundraiser in support of Runnymede Healthcare Centre.
All proceeds will support Runnymede’s new Post-Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSI) Centre of Excellence for First Responders.
The PTSI Centre of Excellence will have two main sites: Station No. 3434 in Toronto and the Caledon Recovery Centre in Peel Region. Both will offer a full continuum of care from prevention to intensive treatment and return-to-work programming. These new purpose-built facilities will create welcoming, supportive environments where clients will seek and receive wellness and rehabilitative therapy in dealing with Post-Traumatic Stress Injuries and associated concurrent mental health disorders, and foster connection with peers.
Refreshments and cocktails will be served, and there will be a silent and live auction., details to be announced.
